Aisha,

I am really enjoying your postings. It is wonderful to see that you are having such a great experience. Can wait to see the video of the bonfire and your new dance moves. I also see those "deltas" on the batik cloth.

Be safe crossing the streets and thanks for sharing your journey. Waiting to hear your reflections when you return to Ithaca.

Aisha,

Sounds like you're experiencing many new avenues.........making batiks.....gosh!

I am glad things are going well...and that you are doing well and enjoying the stupendous experience..

Raji is not sure if this is home or not. Some days he is quite active and other days he just sits around looking around.

Hugo should be home from the hospital in a day or so...He sends his love...

Aisha, It pleased me to see you make the batiks. I was privileged to make some with my first grade students. We decorated heavy brown paper with African designs I had carved from white potatoes and some other materials (inked on a black stamp pad). A large hole was cut in the center in order to drape the paper as a cape over the student's shoulder. We had a march (to the lunchroom for lunch) to show off our creative efforts. Enjoy your trip! I am enjoying it with you. Love, Cousin Edna
